To confirm the value of the performances, statistics shows that the sum of the winner&#8217;s times, places the Generali Milano Marathon 2021 Special Edition on the 7th place among the fastest marathons ever ran. The event was timed by our Italian partners MySDAM with BibTag technology. The course was based on 6 laps: 1 short lap (4,695 m) + 5 laps (7,500 m). \u00a0There were\u00a04 timing points installed with the BibTag system on the course:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>START \/ LAPS \/ FINISH<\/li>\n<li>SPLIT POINT1: 5km, 12.5km, 20km, 27,5km, 35km<\/li>\n<li>SPLIT POINT2:\u00a07,5km, 15km, 22,5km, 30km, 37,5km<\/li>\n<li>SPLIT POINT3: 2,5km, 10km, 17,5km, 25km, 32,5km, 40km<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h6><strong>10km competitiva<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Amateur runners started their race\u00a0at 9.30 AM, right after the marathon. The race was based on 2 laps (4,867km + 5,133km). The start point was different from the marathon but the finish line was the same.\u00a0Due to Covid restrictions the race had a time-trial start with 4 runners starting every 7 seconds. No gunshot and the results were based on real time only. \u00a0The amateur runners had 3 BibTag System timing points on the course:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>START<\/li>\n<li>SPLIT\/FINISH<\/li>\n<li>5K SPLIT<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h6>Virtual Race \u2013 Run Anywhere<\/h6>\n<p>Participants could run individually or in teams of 4 runners during the virtual race.
