Levante<\/a>\u00a0with the support of our MYLAPS Event Timing team, using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mylaps.com\/timing-solutions-active\/bibtag\/?noredirect=en_US\">BibTag<\/a> technology.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-21801 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/mylaps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/valencia-marathon-returns-2021-2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Valencia Marathon returns 2021\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-21803 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/mylaps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/valencia-marathon-returns-2021-3-2-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"Valencia Marathon returns 2021 2\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/>\n<p>This race had more than 30,000 registrants but unfortunately the race organisers had to cut down to 16,000 runners due to COVID measurements.<\/p>\n<p>At the end there were 12.783 finishers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Race details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>11 timing locations (Start, Finish and 9 intermediates \u2013 Km 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and Half Marathon).<\/p>\n<p>The event used 26 BibTag decoders and 171 BibTag mats.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time in this event, the gunshot has been recorded in a decoder using an external photo finish microphone, for the compliance with World Athletics technical rules.<\/p>\n<p>During the Marat\u00f3n Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP the Spanish male National Record was equaled by Hamid Ben Daoud at 2:06:35.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" Marathon returns 2021 1\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/>\n<p><strong>Male champion:<\/strong>\u00a0Lawrence Cherono, finishing ahead of the race with with 02:05:11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Female champion:<\/strong> Nancy Jelegat just smashed the 42K distance under 2 hours 20 minutes 02:19:30.
