MYLAPS & GM team up to inspire youth through motorsports
General Motors (GM) Motorsports and MYLAPS Sports Technology are proud to announce a new collaboration aimed at motivating and preparing youth for the future through an exciting motorsports outreach program. As part of this initiative, MYLAPS has provided RC Timing Systems and transponders to enable hands-on learning experiences for young people.

The program will use motorsports as a platform to teach technical skills, including working on cars, shocks, springs, and other aspects of engineering and vehicle mechanics, as well as offering training on timing and scoring.
Creating the Ultimate Sports Experience
Sean Reilly, Managing Director USA at MYLAPS, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration: “Our mission is to offer the ultimate sports experience to everyone, bringing people together through sports. We’re excited to team up with GM Motorsports to inspire and prepare young people from underrepresented communities for the future.”
“We are excited to work with MYLAPS to bring the timing technology used in racing today, to our Youth STEM program” says Eric Warren, Global Motorsports Competition Executive Director at GM.
Together, GM Motorsports and MYLAPS are driving innovation and inspiration, creating opportunities for youth to explore STEM fields through the thrill of motorsports.
