BibTag at the Ljubljana Marathon
The 2025 Ljubljana Marathon was once again timed using MYLAPS BibTag technology, ensuring world-class accuracy to capture the times of the 20,000 participants across the weekend.
The 29th Ljubljana Marathon had the largest participation in the history of the event – more than 19,000 runners on Sunday and a total of 29,000 runners in two days. Every participant’s results were captured with BibTag technology by our trusted partner, Timing Ljubljana.
Impressive course records were set in both the men’s and women’s Garmin 10 KM races, in the men’s category of the Half Marathon Generali Zame, and a new Slovenian men’s course record was achieved in the Heineken 0.0 Marathon.
Sustainable and Seamless Bib Pickup
Powered by MYLAPS Event Timing in collaboration with Timing Ljubljana, this year’s event introduced a smooth and eco-friendly bib pickup process at the expo.
Runners simply scanned the QR code from their registration email, and their personalized start number was printed instantly, only for those who checked in. This smart solution meant less waste, greater efficiency, and a faster, greener race-day experience for everyone. ♻️
BibTag – the standard timing technology for mass events
Since 1982, MYLAPS has been the pioneer of automatic sports timing, powering events at every level – from World Marathon Majors to thousands of local community races worldwide. BibTag is the standard for mass running events, featuring lightweight and cost-effective chips with the highest read rates in the industry. The MYLAPS ThinTag, which is 75% thinner than regular timing tags, not only reduces waste and shipping volume but also contributes to lowering carbon emissions.
